Based out of Phoenix, Arizona Phoenician Fire is an innovative dance company dedicated to preserving the elegant and timeless art of Middle Eastern Dance. Directed by the internationally-acclaimed Meena Gorgese, Phoenician Fire employs collaborative methodology to weave traditional Egyptian and Lebanese folk dance with modern interpretations and Western influences. Phoenician Fire focuses their artistic productions on the intrinsic link between music and dance in the Middle East, hearkening back to the improvisational roots of this classic dance form.
